CricVerse Privacy Policy

CricVerse ("we", "our", "the App") is a cricket team management app that helps captains and managers schedule matches, manage squads, and collect fees, and helps players track their schedule and payments. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's handled.

Information We Collect

• Account information: your name and mobile number, used to create and identify your account.
• PIN: stored securely as a one-way encrypted (bcrypt) credential — we never store or have access to your PIN in plain text.
• Team and match data: the teams you belong to, matches you're selected for, and your RSVP responses.
• Payment records: match fee amounts, currency, and payment status (requested, paid, confirmed) related to your team. CricVerse does not process real payments or store card/bank details — captains and players settle fees outside the app (cash, bank transfer, etc.) and simply record status in the app.
• Push notification token: a device identifier issued by Apple or Google, used only to deliver in-app notifications (e.g. match reminders, RSVP requests, fee reminders).

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to operate the App's core features: team management, match scheduling, RSVP tracking, fee/payment tracking, and notifications. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Third-Party Services

CricVerse relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — our backend database, authentication, and hosting provider. Your account data, team data, and payment records are stored on Supabase's infrastructure.
• Expo — used to deliver push notifications to your device via Apple Push Notification service (iOS) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android).
• WasenderAPI — used only for players who access CricVerse via the web (not the mobile app); your mobile number and a notification message may be sent via WhatsApp as a fallback delivery method.

Each of these services processes data solely on our behalf to provide the App's functionality — they do not use your data for their own purposes.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the email below and we'll process the request within a reasonable time.

Children's Privacy

CricVerse is intended for cricket teams generally organized by adults (captains/managers). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without appropriate parental or guardian involvement via the team's captain/manager.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to your team, match, and payment data is restricted by row-level security policies so that only your team's captains, managers, and you can see your data.
